Reminder to Members that the Executive Committee has agreed to
change the focus on functions held at the Club. Although the end of
month Social gatherings will continue to take place on the last
Saturday of each month the 200 Club Draw will now take place at 7.20
p.m. on the Saturday evening of the Club Draw Nights (last Saturday in
the month) This change will allow entertainment evenings to run

Centenary Reciprocal Golf
Members are again reminded that the
Club has agreed for 2012 that Dinsdale Spa Golf Club Members can play
at Heysham Golf Club at Member rates this year. Horsham celebrated
their Centenary like Dinsdale Spa in 2010.
If you are planning a visit please
contact the Office so that confirmation of your Membership can be
provided to be accompany your visit to Horsham Golf Club.
KEY DRAW NIGHT is becoming a very nice
evening in the Club house where you can enjoy jovial company and have a
chance to win money. For £1 only you can buy a Key Draw ticket and if
your number gets pulled out you automatically get £25 and, additionally
if you are present, a choice of keys. If you choose the lucky jackpot
key you can take the jackpot which currently stands at £300 and is
expected to rise by Friday Night 14th April.
The draw takes place at 7.00
p.m. so why not come along. As you
will see the number of Keys is reducing so the odds on picking the
jackpot key are therefore increasing.
Note that if you are considering attending
Key Draw Nights the Caterer will have a limited choice menu available
at approximately £6.00

If you are about when these
events are on please show your support to these and all our visitors as
they provide valuable green fee income which is much needed in the
present economic climate.
I am sure like me you will have all enjoyed the Masters in
Augusta, where European hopes were again dashed primarily by
indifferent putting from Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and others.
Surprisingly Tiger Woods who after 2 years appeared to be hitting
championship form fell away on day three.
It doesn;t seem like a year ago that poor Rory Mcllroy failed in the
last round to win the green jacket. But who was surprised to see Bubba
Watson (who claimes never to had a lesson) be crowned champion after a
sudden death play off with Louis Oosthuizen?
The season is now well underway with the first Gents, Ladies, Mixed
and Junior competitions already held. Lets all hope for continued good
weather and some fine Golf here at Dinsdale Spa Golf Club.
Shop wise I have got loads of new stock in and as always if I haven't
got what you are seeking please ask as I am sure I can get what you are
after at a reasonbable cost.

13th Annual Charity in aid of The Salvation Army AND Butterwick
House Children's Hospice and other local charities.
The above event is being held at Dinsdale Spa Golf Club for the
second year on Friday 29th June 2012. Entry is £40 per team of two (£20
for Dinsdale Spa Golf Club Members). The competition is a 4BBB
Stableford with full handicap (Max Gents 28 and Ladies 36) with prizes
for Best team (1st - 6th) Best Ladies team, Best Mixed team, nearest
the pin on all three par 3's and straighest drive.
Entries (incl. S.A.E.) should be forwarded to Jeff Lupton, 18
Brisbane Grove, Hartburn, Stockton on Tees TS18 5BW, Tel: 01642 645857.
Cheques should be made payable to the Rotary Club of Teesside West.
Prize presentation will take place approximately 8.30 / 8.45 where
winners are asked to be present or represented.
Club Draw Pounds or Euro's it all spends
This is a reminder that the Club runs a mini lottery draw where for
£12 per year (£15 for the 15 month invoice) you have the chance to win
£100 first prize, £25 second prize and a £10 Snowball draw. Generally
the draw takes place at 7.30 at the Club Draw Night held on the last
Saturday in the month. To qualify for the
Snowball you need to be present when the draw takes place.

The Executive Committee would like to thank those Members who
completed the Club Questionairre 2011 which was despatched with renewal
invoices. Full results will be published in a forthcoming Newsletters.
There are two points which have been clearly identified in the
initial review and that is about Executive Committee minutes and access
to the Club's Web Site.
ALL Executive Committee minutes once approved are available to
Members in the appropriate folder in the book case outside the
Secretary's Office. Feel free to read them at your leisure. NOTE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEM AWAY. If you
would like to have a copy either download them from the Club's Web Site
or ask at the Office and a copy wil be provided.
Additionally individuals who require
access to the Club's Web Site or want to receive the Club's Newsletter
are requested to complete a form available from the Secretary's Office.

Rabbits Newsnotes -March 2012
The 2012 season is about to start and its great we have a number of
new Rabbit members this year. Welcome to you all and hope you
enjoy the year.
2012 programme starts Thursday 19 April a Friendly with Richmond at
Team list for names is on the Rabbits notice board in the Locker room
Draw for the team will be made 6th April.
If your name is not drawn out for the team then you will be automatically
be selected for the next
friendly fixture if you are available.The same process is applied to
the League team fixtures.
Rabbit membership fee to participate in any of the above £5.00.

As your outgoing Captain, and as expressed at the A.G.M., my thanks
go to my wife Gill for her support throughout the year and also to my
Vice-Captain Mike Pinder,to the retiring Chairman, Guy,to Martyn and
Andy,to the Office Staff,to the members of the Executive Committee, and
to the various Past Captains,who have advised and assisted me in making
it a most memorable year.
Also to those members with whom I have had the pleasure of playing
on Sunday mornings, and in the various Gents/Mixed Competitions.
The highlights have been both the Captain`s and Charity Weekends as
well as Captain`s Away Day at Appleby Golf Club.
I wish every success to Mike and Ann in their respective year of
Captaincy of a Club which, in my opinion is fortunate to have a testing
course, which James and his Greenkeeping Staff have brought to a
marvelous condition, a Clubhouse which is both welcoming and with a
great aspect, and complimented
by its hard-working and amiable Catering and Bar Staff.

Congratulations to Nick Sanderson who goes forward to the EGU Gold
Medal Tournament regional final at Houghton Le Spring Golf Club on
Saturday 7th July 2012.
This is the second year in which Nick has qualified - Well done
The Club is looking for Sponsorship initially of the Course and in
the future other areas of the Club.
Preliminary discussions with Members who are in business has shown
support in favour of the introduction of tee box signs similar to the
one shown above.
If you or your business are interested in sponsoring a tee box then

Secretary (Tel: 01325 332297) at your earliest opportunity as specific
tee boxes have already been allocated.
WHAT WILL IT COST
The offer is as follows:-
1st year £595 + VAT, 2nd Year £500 + VAT and 3rd Year £500 + VAT.
Individuals / Organisations who commit to three years at the outset
will receive a 10% discount on the total cost. This equates a cost of
£1435.50 + VAT.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY
A sign similar to the one shown above which will include the
sponsor's board, which is designed to your specifications. A monthly
voucher to allow 4 players to use the course. (12 vouchers per year
which equates an equivalent of roughly £1200 worth of golf).
